Standard unshielded vertical RJ45 jacks are prone to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) in busy industrial environments. By contrast, our shielded vertical RJ45 jacks utilize brass shielding shells plated with tin or nickel to ground stray electromagnetic radiation.
For applications where PCB space is too limited to host discrete magnetics, our integrated transformer solutions (MagJacks) combine the RJ45 physical connector with common-mode chokes, isolation transformers, and ESD capacitors. This reduces overall footprint, simplifies impedance matching, and prevents high-frequency return loss issues.
To withstand high reflow temperatures during PCB assembly (up to 260°C for lead-free solder profiles), our vertical RJ45 housings are molded from High-Temperature Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) or UL94V-0 rated Nylon. This ensures zero deformation during peak thermal cycles and maintains tight tolerances for the internal copper alloy terminals.
