Founded in 2016, Lumetra Optoelectronics Technologies Co., Ltd. is a professional manufacturer specializing in high-speed optical transceivers and fiber optic communication solutions for datacom, telecom, and cloud infrastructure applications. With an operational foundation designed for agility and precision, we serve as a critical link in the global network supply chain.
Our production facility in China spans approximately 8,500㎡, built to support efficient manufacturing, cleanroom semiconductor processing, and strict quality-controlled assembly of high-density port modules. Combining 11 years of overall industry expertise with 7 years of specialized global export experience, we have secured our footprint as a trusted strategic partner for network hardware integrators and OEMs worldwide.
Lumetra maintains a diversified trade background with strong presence in OEM and ODM markets. Its primary markets include North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, serving telecom operators, data center integrators, and network equipment distributors.
In an era defined by massive AI model training, microsecond-critical algorithmic trading, and edge computing, physical layer ports act as the foundational pillars of latency reduction and payload throughput.
Integrating high-speed RJ45 magnetic modules with SFP28/QSFP-DD transceivers to support leaf-spine topologies. Our components enable direct patch interconnectivity within server cabinets, stabilizing 100G/400G downlinks while reducing thermal dissipation.
Serving cellular fronthaul and backhaul transceivers with custom wavelength parameters. Over 1,200 supply chain partners enable reliable delivery of single-mode long-reach transceivers (up to 40km LWDM) designed for extreme climate variations.
Shielded RJ45 connectors featuring high EMC immunity protect PLCs and robotic controllers from factory-floor EMI. Integrated LED visual diagnostics allow maintenance crews to troubleshoot physical layer integrity in high-vibration manufacturing bays.
A high-performance RJ45 switch port is far more than a molded plastic interface. As network speeds scale from Fast Ethernet up to 10G Base-T, the electrical contacts become highly susceptible to crosstalk (NEXT and FEXT) and external electromagnetic interference. To resolve these challenges, our factory integrates advanced electromagnetic transformers (integrated magnetics or "MagJacks") directly into the connector body.
These integrated magnetics perform three critical functions: impedance matching, high-voltage isolation (often up to 1,500V AC to protect internal PHY chips), and common-mode noise suppression. This allows our RJ45 interfaces to maintain exceptionally low insertion loss and high return loss metrics over long cable runs.
| Port Classification | Supported Speeds | Shielding Method | PoE Class Support | Common Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single Port RJ45 Modular Jack | 10 / 100 / 1000 Base-T | Fully Shielded Shroud with Grounding Tabs | Non-PoE / PoE (IEEE 802.3af) | Client Access Terminals, SOHO Routers |
| Multi-Port (1x4, 2x4 Stacked) | 1000 Base-T (GbE) | Inner Metal Partitioning for Inter-port Isolation | PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at / up to 30W) | Managed L2/L3 Enterprise Switches |
| High-Speed RJ45 Magnetic Connector | 1G / 2.5G / 5G Base-T | Advanced EMI Fingers & Integrated Ferrites | PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt / up to 90W) | Wi-Fi 6/7 Access Points, Edge IoT Gateways |
| Stacked RJ45 + USB Combinations | 10 / 100 / 1000 Base-T | Dual-Chamber Isolation Shielding | Non-PoE | Industrial PC Mainboards, Embedded Systems |
For high-power deployments, our PoE (Power over Ethernet) optimized ports are configured to carry up to 90W of continuous current across all four copper wire pairs. This demands precise engineering of the contact pin alloy and gold-plating thickness (up to 50 micro-inches) to prevent carbon tracking and contact degradation caused by electrical arcing when hot-unplugging active cables.
At Lumetra, innovation isn't static. Backed by 86 full-time R&D engineers, we provide deep customization capabilities tailored to the world's most demanding physical and link-layer environments. In the past year alone, our design teams successfully launched approximately 220 new products to solve unique interoperability challenges.
EEPROM coding customization ensuring absolute compatibility with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Huawei, and other major switch chassis architectures.
3D electromagnetic simulation during layout design to control differential impedance at 100 ohms (+/-5%) for ultra-low Bit Error Rates (BER).
Quality assurance is maintained through a combination of automated optical performance testing, environmental stress screening, and manual inspection processes. Our dedicated quality control team consists of 48 trained inspectors who enforce compliance with international benchmarks including FCC, CE, RoHS, and REACH.
In the contemporary hardware sector, supply chain resilience is a critical business metric. Lumetra collaborates with over 1,200 supply chain partners to ensure stable raw material sourcing, preventing bottlenecks in components like high-permeability magnetic cores, precision-molded polymers, and premium copper alloys. This network allows our facility to scale production on demand, ensuring consistent lead times for multi-thousand port shipments.
Our localized support network ensures that clients in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East receive prompt technical assistance. From resolving transceiver-switch firmware handshake errors to supplying customized physical layout designs (CAD/Gerber models) for proprietary PCB development, our team provides responsive engineering support to system integrators and distributors.
Our products conform strictly to standardized multi-source agreements (MSAs) for optical transceivers and meet IEEE standards for Ethernet infrastructure. By maintaining clean-room manufacturing and utilizing lead-free soldering processes, we ensure every RJ45 port and transceiver complies with environmental standards like RoHS and REACH, facilitating seamless importation and compliance verification for global tier-1 telecom networks.
As the industry migrates toward 800G and 1.6T aggregate switch capacities, network architectures face a dual challenge: heat dissipation and signal degradation. Lumetra's long-term research is centered on bridging the gap between electrical copper access points and optoelectronic backplanes.
Our copper connectivity roadmap focuses on high-density multi-port RJ45 connectors optimized for 10G Base-T speeds and above, utilizing advanced multi-stage internal shielding. Simultaneously, our optical division is advancing high-density, low-power-consumption transceiver form factors including QSFP-DD and OSFP, using PAM4 modulation technology to achieve reliable transmission over longer distances.
